Aloe Bio Cellulose Mask

I’m always intrigued when Forever launches a new product as I know how much research goes into any new product line. And I have to say as a regular user of Forever’s Marine Mask, I wasn’t sure why they were launching a new one. So I did a bit of research (which of course included trying one of them for myself) and this is what I discovered………

We’re all into masks these days, who knew!

I'm always intrigued when Forever launches a new products as I know how much research goes into choosing and formulating any new product line. But I have to say as a regular user of Forever's Marin Mask, I wasn't entirely sure why they had chosen to launch a new mask.......so I did a bit of research (which of course included trying one of them for myself) and this is what I discovered.........

We're all into masks these days, who knew?!

According to Google we're searching like mad to find the latest and most effective mask.....and the top things we're searching for is hydration and moisturisation.

What you need to know if you're thinking of trying a mask is that there are three tiers:

  1. Paper mask usually made from cotton or bamboo
  2. Hydrogel mask
  3. Bio-cellulose mask

Bio-cellulose masks are top of the market as they stay on the face better (take a look at this review) and hold more of the mask ingredients so they're more effective.

Naturally, Forever has chosen to put themselves in the bio-cellulose category and their new mask is a top of the line, top of the market mask that delivers benefits deeper than any other mask in this category.

Apparently they've been working on this mask in secret for years

So if they've been working on it for years, it must have a few tricks up its sleeve then? Well, to grow this bio-cellulose mask, Forever starts with fermentation from coconut which grows good bacteria. This pro-biotic needs food and so it's fed Aloe Gel during development and then micro organisms spin a fibrous material which is the bio-cellulose. Forever are the first company in the world to have aloe spun into the fibres of the mask itself. And those fibres are a thousand times thinner than a human hair allowing bop-cellulose masks to reach fine lines and wrinkles traditional masks just can't reach!

Those bio-cellulose fibres are extremely moisture retentive and when the mask is dipped into a serum of aloe and other botanicals you have a dual phase delivery system.  The mask itself is suitable for all skin types and works well for men and women, yes it even works through a beard! And after use there's no need to rinse as the bio cellulose fibres drive the nutrients deep into the skin better than any other mask giving a really high absorption rate.

Key benefits

  • rejuvenates dull skin
  • helps fight the signs of ageing
  • soothes skin & reduces the appearance of redness and fine lines & wrinkles
  • the benefits can be seen as soon as you peel the mask off

Key ingredients

  • aloe vera which is present in both the mask and serum
  • seagrass helps to soften & condition plus it loves aloe and they work beautifully together

and in the serum

  • horse chestnut helps to reduce redness & rejuvenate dull skin
  • green tea empowers healthy ageing
  • antioxidants to combat the signs of ageing
  • glycerin which is extremely moisturising

Usage

  • use 1-2 times per week
  • when you tear open the package, squeeze any excess serum out and rub on your face, neck, chest, arm, legs......just don't waste it!
  • unfold mask and remove textured paper on one side
  • apply mask to your face and mould it - tip you can pull off the eye flaps and put them on your lips if you wish
  • peel off the outside textured paper
  • leave on for 20 minutes
  • remove mask, no rinse required, and rub in any excess serum

Note: the mask will feel slimey and cool, if it feels prickly you left the paper on! Once you've finished with the mask throw it in your compost pile, no need to add to your rubbish.

Sonya Daily Skincare System

The recently launched Sonya daily skincare system is the second new skincare range launched by Forever that is based on nature meets science. Yet again, Aloe has been taken into the lab to work out how best to leverage its affects this time on combination skin. Given how good the anti-ageing Infinite range is, I’m excited to see what they’ve come up with this time.

What does it do?

The scientifically-advanced skincare uses a gel delivery system that carries the aloe, moisture and botanicals directly to your skin. The products in the range boast a high concentration of aloe and a hydra-infused system that gently targets the skin to improve its overall look and feel. And in the same way as the drinking gel works synergistically, so the overall affect is more than the total of the individual components, the new skincare system works in the same way.

What exactly is combination skin?

Combination skin tends to fluctuate between oily and dry. It can be really oily or really dry or a mixture of both! In order to cope with this the range has been designed to control shine while also delivering moisture to where it’d needed most.

Fab looking products!

The new range comes in really lovely, modern packaging and if you go for the whole lot in one go you get a stunning bright green toiletry bag to keep them in

What are they really like?

OK, so that’s all the factual stuff but what do the products feel like and do they actually work? The feedback on these products has been amazing. Their ability to adapt to the different skin types is brilliant meaning you really can moisturise the dry bits and control the shiny bits with just one product. Each product is so refreshingly light that it sinks quickly and easily into your skin leaving it feeling refreshed.

What’s in the set?

Refreshing gel cleanser – gently cleanses and conditions your face while it washes away dirt and debris without stripping skin. There’s no tightening of the skin after use as it’s full of moisturising agents like cold press baob oil and the acacia concinna helps remove dead cell build-up, dirt and make up for a thorough, yet soft, cleanse.

Refining gel mask – one of the easiest masks to use, simply apply before bedtime and let the mask do its thing while you sleep. It’s been scientifically formulated to optimise the way your skin functions at nigh and by leveraging the natural functions of the body while you sleep, the mask helps support balance by controlling oil and brightening the appearance of skin. The mask is infused with plenty of botanicals including carrot seed oil, basil oil Artemisia pallens flower oil and soybean oil along with moisturisers such as aloe gel, apple fruit extract clover flower extract, sasa quelpaertensis extract and liquorice root plant. Just rinse thoroughly in the morning.

Illuminating gel – thanks to encapsulated peptides in this quick absorbing gel, this products formula can help deliver the latest technology to your skin. A unique blend of green and brown algae, known for helping to even skin tone and soften age spots, has been paired with liposomes and red clover flower extract to help reduce the appearance of large pores. Illuminating gel is unlike anything else on the market thanks to its unique collection of five Asian botanicals scutallaria baicalensis root, glycyrrhiza glabra root, morus alba root, artemisia capillaris flower and zizyphus jujuba fruit.

Soothing gel moisturiser – although this looks like a lotion it is made with the gel based formula and so melts into your skin and doesn’t leave any residue. It’s packed full of natural ingredients like apple fruit extract, pomegranate fruit extract, fig fruit extract, mulberry fruit extract, ginkgo biloba extract, jojoba esters and olive oil to help skin feel hydrated and supple. Beta-glucan soothes and evens skin tone plus there’s anit-ageing ingredients like linoleic acid and hydrolysed collagen and it’s infused with with orange and mandarin peel oil, roman camomile and geranium oil, and bergamot fruit oil to leave skin feeling refreshed.

An exciting new product range that’s spot on for combination skin!

Move

There was a bit of an uproar when this new supplement was launched last year.......words like revolutionary were used and people who had tried it were raving about it. But what's the hype actually about?  Why have these supplements caused such an uproar?

What's in them?

Move contains two powerful and patented ingredients; one of which is new to me and one is the fastest growing herbal supplement globally. Natural Eggshell Membrane (NEM) is something I've never heard before and Curcurmin Tumeric (Biocurc) is a long standing popular with people who lead active lives.

Who are they for?

Basically anyone who moves their body.......whether you're quite sporty and go to the gym or play sports or a parent chasing kids around the house, any kind of movement can result in stiffness and aches and pains. Sadly this is true especially as we grow older when the aches & pains seem to happen more often.......although that could just be me! People are becoming more health conscious and don't want to be restricted by stiff joints or pain.

What makes Move different?

  • Forever is getting really good at combining science with the best nature has to offer and Move has clinically effective doses of the patented technology ingredients to ensure they actually work.
  • Quick and confirmed results in 7-10 days
  • Nearly 5x more clinically effective than glucoasmine and chondriotrin
  • enhances joint comfort and flexibility
  • supports a healthy range of motion
  • decreases pain and stiffness in muscles & joints
  • promotes fast recovery from exercise
  • promotes healthy cartilage
  • supports healthy inflammatory response

The two active ingredients work together within our body and trials showed confirmed results in as little as 7-10 days.

NEM

NEM is derived from the membrane of an eggshell and is patented with Forever having an exclusive contract for this important ingredient.

  • All natural
  • contains chondroitrin, hylauronic acid, glycosaminoglycons and collagen
  • patented
  • supports healthy range of motion
  • enhances flexibility

Studies:

Trials carried out recorded results for range of motion and pain, both showing the biggest improvements in the first 7 days although these continued through to day 30 and beyond.

Range of motion: Day 0: 64.2%  Day 7:  82%  Day 30:  92.2%   44% improvement                     Pain: Day 0:  2.3  Day 7:  1.7  Day 30:  0.7      76% reduction

Biocurc

The second ingredient is a powerful tumeric:

  • all natural tumeric
  • patented with bioavailability increase of 200% (this is the way it works with the body)
  • Decreases stiffness in joints and muscles
  • Soothes areas of discomfort

Forever's range of joint care products

Forever now has three products in the joint care range. Each work a little bit differently in the body and work together to produce a synergestic effect

Ever-Shield Deodorant

What is it?

Ever-Shield is a stick deodorant and as it’s made by Forever it’s packed full of lovely Aloe.  It’s worth noting that Ever-Shield is a deodorant which allows perspiration but blocks odour and not an anti perspirant that prevents perspiration from occurring.

Who is it for?

Thanks to it’s light and fresh fragrance, this deodorant can be used by men, women and teenagers alike! I’ve used it for years now and love that I no longer have that yukky, sticky heavy residue on the under arm part of my vest tops that I used to get from other deodorants. It also never leaves any white marks on anything. My boys also use it, although not often enough, preferring instead to spray body spray all over themselves and their rooms to mask the pong with the latest boy smell instead of using a deodorant!  As the deodorant smells, well, clean, you’re able to fully appreciate your choice of perfume or after shave for the day without any fragrance conflict!

What’s the difference?

As it’s a Forever product it is of course full of lovely Aloe Vera which is incredibly good for skin. And because it is so lovely for the skin you can use it directly after shaving, waxing or epilating. I use after epilating each week and it calms and soothes my underarms.

One of the big differences is that this deodorant is aluminium and alcohol free.  There’s much talk in the press about the potential harm these ingredients can do in deodorants and while there hasn’t been any proper research into this yet, I note with interest that GP’s advise Aluminium-free deodorants after people have been diagnosed with breast cancer………

Alcohol and aluminium in deodorants

Alcohol in any cosmetic can be a problem as it acts as a fat solvent and for dry, sensitive skin that means an already fragile barrier of sebum (the skins natural oils) gets washed away.

Cancer.gov has this to say about aluminium in deodorants:

“Aluminium-based compounds are used as the active ingredient in antiperspirants. These compounds form a temporary “plug” within the sweat duct that stops the flow of sweat to the skin’s surface. Some research suggests that aluminium-containing underarm antiperspirants, which are applied frequently and left on the skin near the breast, may be absorbed by the skin and have estrogen-like (hormonal) effects.”

For me the jury’s still out linking these two ingredients to any health issues but I am not known to take risks with my health so the answer for me is simple.

Other uses

You’d think that a deodorant could only be used as a deodorant but I have come across two other reported uses.  Firstly, due to it’s waxy texture and moisturisers, it’s can be used on dried out heels on your feet. As well as being super moisturising it keeps your feet smelling fresh too! I am also aware that horse owners use it under their horse’s noses to help keep flies away. Not owning a horse myself I’ve never used it in this way but I have read many reports of how good it is.

How long does it last?

This is one of the things I love about this product, it lasts absolutely ages!  You get a full 92.1g of deodorant in the stick and it lasts a really, really long time.  I get about 6 months out of a stick and I reckon overall, compared to buying more of the cheaper deodorants each year, the cost is the same or slightly less.

Where to buy

You can of course get your hands on this essential product through my online shop www.jodavies.flp.com or please feel free to email me to discuss and ask any questions jodavies@flp.com

Arctic Sea

As I’m sure you know, I rely quite heavily on supplements to give my body the nutrition is requires.  Partly because I just can’t afford to have any nutritional deficiencies as they almost always result in increasing fatigue; and partly because my nutritional requirements are higher as I strive to get out of my current ME relapse.

And so this month’s product of the month is a supplement which both myself and my husband take every day.

What’s in Arctic Sea?

Arctic Sea is a blend of natural fish, calamari and oleic olive oil.  This blend contains the perfect balance of essential fatty acids EPA, which contributes to the normal function of the heart, and DHA which contributes to maintenance of normal brain function.

Why do we need them?

Awakening Eye Cream

I have to admit that I do love a good eye cream!  I may be well and truly in my middle ages now but  eye cream is a product that I’ve used since my early 20’s.  It’s always struck me that when you look at someone’s face you’re automatically drawn to their eyes so I decided that I needed to take care of them as saggy baggy eyes are not something you can really hide!

Why a special eye cream?

The skin round the eyes is actually different to the skin on the rest of our face. Skin is thinner and a lot more delicate so it’s best not to use your usual face products on this area.  You’ll notice that pretty much all skin care ranges come with a specialised eye product for this reason.

At a glance

  • Anti-aging benefits, seriously, who doesn’t need that?!
  • Powerful ingredients at clinically active levels which means that there’s enough of the ingredient in the cream to get in there and actually work, there’s not just a small amount so it can be listed on the ingredients list.  The levels of ingredients in this cream have been tested to ensure they get results.
  • Highly concentrated and a little goes a long way!
  • Dual function
    1. reduces dark circles and under eye puffiness
    2. blurs fine lines and wrinkles

Patented Ingredients

The cream has been developed with ingredients which perform both of these functions and utilises peptide technology.  If like me you have no idea what that means let me enlighten you……….peptides are proteins that the skin actually produces itself; they improve and smooth the sensitive eye area, visibly reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The rich ingredient deck includes:

  • Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract for sagging skin both on top of the eye area as well as underneath.  I love the fact that you can use this cream on top of the eye lid too as I had noticed that my top eye lids were starting to get a little saggy which was not a good look!
  • Butylene Glycol whose hydrating properties help to reduce the appearance of eye puffiness and dark circles
  • Collagen at a low molecular weight so it actually gets into the skin.  Apparently Collagen is a huge buzzword in the skincare industry right now with some experts claiming collagen can only be ingested and some disputing it.  The results of the extensive tests carried out by Forever’s scientists have shown that the collagen used in this product is at a low enough molecular weight to penetrate the skin and do its thing!
  • Aloe Vera of course is included in this product as it’s just an amazing all-round natural ingredient that our skin loves.

How to use

As with any eye cream the focus when applying it needs to be on preserving the delicate eye area. Use both morning and evening and apply with your ring finger as this is the weakest finger on your hand and will do the least amount of tugging.  Tap, don’t rub, the product under the eye with your ring finger then move up to the top of the eyelid and apply there too.

My take on it

The fact that this cream has the dual function caught my eye straight away as it pretty much covers everything you want in an eye cream.  And then I found out that is works on the eye lids too and I was very excited to try it! Having used it for a few months my key points to note are:

  • It really is very concentrated and I’m still on my first tube
  • It is doing a great job of covering up my wrinkles and dark circles (I am lucky enough not to suffer with puffiness)
  • The sagging on my eye lids is noticeably less…..which I am very happy about not least because it makes putting my make up on a little easier!

Aloe Vera Gelly (aka first aid in a tube!)

Summer has pretty much arrived here in the UK and with it comes a range of issues that my fair summer skin has to endure.  I get sunburnt easily, I get bitten constantly, there are stinging nettles trying to brush past you everywhere plus of course with the kids outside more they have a daily quota of knocks, scratches and bruises to inflict on themselves.  And that’s why I refer to my tube of Aloe Gelly as first aid in a tube, because as long as it’s a skin issues, this stuff can work wonders!

Easier than carrying round a live Aloe Plant

The Forever Aloe Gelly that I use is literally having access to an Aloe plant wherever you are but without the hassle.  Plus of course the aloe plants that we can grow in England don’t have all the nutrients that an Aloe plant grown in the beautiful Dominican Republic has.  The clear gel inside the tube is basically what you would get from cutting off an Aloe leaf, slicing it open and carefully removing all the squishy gel stuff from inside.  The only additional is small quantities of fruit extracts that are added to preserve the Aloe so it doesn’t go off as soon as you open it!

So many uses

This clear Gelly can be applied to pretty much any skin complaint from cuts, scratches, stings, burns, blisters and spots.  In my experience it soothes the area and speeds up healing.  Just a word on burns, you need to keep applying the Gelly quite regularly when the burn first happens as the relief is only temporary.  It depends on how bad the burn is as to how long this period takes but once the initial pain dies down reduce the applications.  Having just inflicted a pretty severe burn on myself with hot olive oil I was cooking with, I can tell you this really makes a difference!

Those are the most obvious uses, but others I have found are on mouth ulcers, a hair strengthener (just apply to wet, freshly washed har – I promise it won’t feel sticky!) and for sore throats.  I wouldn’t say the Gelly tastes good but it doesn’t taste bad and if I can hold it on my sore throat for a while it is well worth it!

Pop a tube in your bag

Seriously, I don’t know what I’d do without it.  We’re at the park and the kids fall into stinging nettles, apply Gelly; they fall over and scratch themselves, apply Gelly; they get stung by an insect, apply Gelly; they are sunburnt, apply Gelly.  You get the idea!  Plus it works on adult humans alike and if you find an annoying spot starting to appear you can apply Gelly to that too!  It’s natural, it’s versatile, it doesn’t leave any stains and if you squidge out too much you can use it as a moisturiser anywhere as un-traumatised skin loves Aloe too!

MPD (Multi Purpose Detergent)

It’s hard to get too excited about cleaning, it’s hardly a glamorous part of our lives right?  But, it’s necessary and so anything that makes the chore of cleaning a little easier while being a little kinder to not just the environment but also my hands has to be a good thing!

And that’s exactly what MPD does.  it’s a super-concentrated multi purpose cleaner that has a ridiculous amount of uses.  And that’s what makes cleaning simpler – having one detergent in your cupboard that works really well instead of the usual cupboard full of stuff that many of us have.

Multi-use making life simpler

MPD can be used for, but is not limited to:

  • Laundry
  • Hand washing dishes (but it’s not suitable for use in a dishwasher)
  • Pre-treatment for stained clothing
  • Carpet stains
  • Floors
  • Sinks
  • Bathrooms
  • Windows
  • Glass
  • Mirrors
  • Inside and outside of cars and caravans
  • Garden furniture
  • Decking
  • Pet bedding
  • And even your pets!

And because it’s super concentrated a little goes a long way so the bottle will last for ages.  You can even use it to make up spray bottles – just one teaspoon mixed with water is great for glass and windows and will cost you just 10p; while two teaspoons mixed with water makes a great all-purpose spray.

It cuts through grime, lifts grease and removes stains without scratching or marking surfaces.

Environmentally friendly

Some detergents aren’t great for the environment but MPD has been formulated with anionic and non-ionic surfactants which are biodegradable, thus reducing environmental and water pollution

Hand friendly

If your hands dry out as much as mine do when you’re cleaning then the fact that the non-abrasive formula also contains aloe vera will be welcome news to you too.  The aloe vera in for formula softens and conditions both hands and clothes plus it has a light fresh fragrance that doesn’t overpower your senses.

In summary…….

It’s a short post for this product but really there’s only so much you can say about a cleaning product – this one will save you space, is highly effective, economical to use, gentle on both hands and the environment and smells fresh.  That’s the cleaning sorted, time to move on to something more interesting then!

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera Gel is one of those Marmite things – you either love it or hate it!  Even if you love it it’s unlikely to be because of the taste, instead  you’re likely to be more like me and tolerate the few seconds of yukkiness every morning  (technical term there!) to make sure your body is getting the benefits; or you’ll hate the taste and just can’t bring yourself to drink it no matter how good it is for you.

What’s the big deal?

If you’ve head of Aloe as a nutritional product before you may be a little confused as to why people make such a big deal of it.  I’m in the middle of reading Patrick Holford’s ‘The 10 Secrets of 100% Healthy People’ book (something I’m very interested in given my body no longer works properly) and he explains why our digestion system is so crucial to our health.

Instead of the usual body break down of organs I’m used to from biology lessons all those years ago, Patrick talks through the six core biochemical processes that keep us healthy.  And the number one process is digestion.  It’s at the core of us; the engine that keeps us running.  While I won’t go into the others in this post, the other six core processes are: glycation (how we process carbohydrates), methylation (how B vitamins turn food into energy), oxidation (how we use antioxidants), lipidation (essential fats) and of course hydration (the role of water).  If you’re keen to know more right now you can get your hands on his book here.

Digestion system

You’ve probably heard the myth ‘you are what you eat’. It’s a little scary to think of the food and drink we consume having that much impact on our bodies right?  But the truth in a way is more scary; you actually become what you can digest and absorb.  And that depends not just on what you consume, but also how well your digestions system works.  The good news is that not only can you take steps to things to improve your digestive health, but as more than half of our entire body is replaced each year using the nutrients absorbed from our food we can affect our overall health in months, not years.  With the exception of oxygen, all the nutrients our bodies need are absorbed through the digestive tract.  And did you know that our digestive tract is the surface area of a tennis court and a quarter the thickness of a sheet of paper?  It works hard each and every day; over a lifetime about 100 tons of food passes along the digestive trace and we produce 300,000 litres of digestive juices to break it down.

In addition our gut also has a complex immune system that acts like a bouncer checking which substances are on the ‘guest list’ and therefore allowed to pass into your body, and those that aren’t and get ‘bounced’.  Cool huh?!

Supporting digestive health

There are a number of things we can do to support our digestive health.  Eating foods as raw or lightly cooked as possible; avoiding processed foods; finding out if you’re allergic to any foods and cutting them out of your diet (you can get a simple home test kit from yorktest.com); chewing your food properly; starting your meal with something raw or steamed and avoiding soft fruits after a protein-rich meal.  And that brings to me Aloe Gel – a natural plant whose inner gel is essentially nutritionally charged water containing small levels of perfectly balanced nutrients that support digestion in humans and animals. And so it has made perfect sense to me to start my day with a glug of this as part of my quest to get healthy over the last few years!

Aloe Gel

The gel in the Aloe Barbadensis plant (this is the best Aloe plant for nutrition) contains a cocktail of nutrients but it’s important to note that, unless you’re going to be drinking bottles of the stuff everyday, these nutrients are in small doses so not enough to provide your full RDA.  You really need to be drinking the Aloe Gel in addition to taking other steps to maintain a healthy digestion which includes a healthy diet.  In that interesting tasting liquid you get Vitamin B1, B2, B6, B12, B3; Vitamin A; Vitamin C; Vitamin E; Folic Acid; Choline; Calcium; Sodium; Iron; Potassium; Chromium; Magnesium; Zinc; Manganese; Copper; Amino Acids (20 of the 22 we need including 7 out of the 8 essential); Plant enzymes; Fatty acids; Salicyclic Acid; Sugars including Acemannan which is beneficial to the immune system; Lingin which helps carry through the epidermis to the dermis when used topically;  and Anthraquinones which are calming and soothing, mildly anaelgesic, mildly antibacterial and antimicrobrial.  Now that’s a lot of nutrition and all from a very natural source.  In fact it makes perfect sense to me that as the digestion of humans and animals is so crucial to good health that there is a plant that naturally provides perfectly balanced nutrients to support it.  The problem as I see it is that we chose to inhabit colder countries where it can’t be grown properly! Actually, you can grown Aloe Barbadensis plants even here in the UK but without the beautiful climate and sunshine of the Domincan Republic the plant just doesn’t produce the same levels of nutrition.

It’s more than just the nutrients

The effect of these perfectly balanced nutrients is synergestic so you get a bigger effect as the nutrients help each other.  And it’s adaptive so our body can take out what it needs and works on both our epithelial tissue systems and our immunological systems.  Epithelial tissue is our skin, lining of our oral cavity, lining of our digestive system, lining of our respiratory system, lining of our ears, eyes and nose, lining of our urinary system and lining of our joints.  When is comes to the immune system Aloe is an immunomodulator so it helps restore our immune system to normal (so increase or decrease) and also effects immunoglobulins, macrophages (gobbles up bacteria) and manose-6 phosphate.  All of which are a bit technical for me to be honest but feel free to Google them!

The brand of gel

There are a lot of ‘drinks’ and ‘juices’ out there which contain smaller amounts of aloe and so are therefore harder to get the benefit from.  The gel that I’ve been drinking for the last few years is Forever Living’s Aloe Gel as it contains 96% aloe (by volume) and is the freshest aloe you can buy in a bottle due to the way it is farmed and manufactured.  The other 4% in the gel is natural fruit extracts which are used to stabilise the gel to keep it fresh (it is after all a plant and degrades like all other fruits and vegetables do once cut).  However, Forever have found a new way of manufacturing and bottling the gel which will see an even higher percentage of gel in their bottles due to be released later in 2018.

How long?

It takes somewhere between six to twelve weeks before you will feel the full effect of the gel and you need to be taking 120 mls every day.  The good news is that when you buy Forever’s gel it comes with their no-quibble 60 day money back guarantee so you can try it risk-free.  If you’re ready to jump in and give it a try, you can buy it here  in the ‘shop now’ section or if you have any questions feel free to drop me an email jodavies@flp.com.

Aloe Scrub

You can’t beat the feeling of freshly scrubbed skin……and as much as I do love the thought of revealing newer skin (what with my current skin being just a little older than I’m happy with!), I am also very aware that I simply cannot afford to use anything too harsh on my oh so delicate skin.

Being a product from Forever I have never had to worry as this is a light and gentle scrub that uses microspheres of jojoba which roll over skin to pick up dead skin cells that clog up pores and cause skin to look dull.  In fact it’s so mild you could use it everyday, although I only use it three times a week, and it’s another multi-use multi-person product that can be used on face or body and by anyone in your household who would benefit from using it.  I use it on both face and body and Greg, my husband, uses it on his face on occasions….although I have absolutely no idea how often that is!

As with most of these products you really only need a small blob, probably about half of what you’d expect to use, so the tube lasts us around 4 months.  The most noticeable thing I’ve noticed about using this is that the bumpy bits on the tops of my arms (you know what I mean!) are much less noticeable and my skin generally feels a lot smoother these days.

Another product that’s easy to have around due to it’s versatility and effectiveness; and the fact it’s packed full of natural ingredients is a big plus too!
